Our hospitality
At Podere Malabiccia, we welcome you with the hospitality that is typical of an italian family. Throughout the house there is an open and serene atmosphere that provides a sense of comfort and freedom for our guests. The farmhouse is splendidly situated in the countryside and is looked after by caretakers, Rosa and Giotto, who are available at any hour of the day.
On the ground floor, just off the garden, is the completely furnshished kitchen with a large fireplace and antique wood burning oven. In the next room, with a view of the garden, there is large dining room furnished with rustic antique furniture that can accomodate up to twenty people.
To access the first floor, one passes through the front door and climbs the stone staircase to the lightfilled sunroom with west-facing arced windows. From here one can enjoy a view of the unique Sienese landscape with its rolling hills and neighboring farms.

Attached to the sunroom are two spacious rooms where guests gather to socialize: the living room and an informal dining room with a fireplace. Adding to this warm atmosphere, these rooms have been furnished with antique Tuscan ceramics and furniture.

In Podere Malabiccia there are three silent and separated sleeping areas. All the rooms enjoy views of the surrounding landscape, floors of hand made terracotta tiles ecolocially treated with
our own olive oil, ceilings with exposed oak beams, and windows and doors made of cypress wood. To complete this ecologically sound bioarchitecture, all walls have been treated with non-toxic "calce" finish and each bathroom features handmade ceramic tiles. Each bed had a supportive wooden under-structure and matching orthopedic matress. Comforters in gooseneck down, high quality sheets and towels complete our simple, refined and restful environment.

Each of the two sleeping areas on the first floor, named Hansel and Gretel, are composed of two bedrooms, bathroom and small hallway. The sleeping area on the 2nd floor, called Il Torrino is one large bedroom, a small bathroom and an outdoor terrace with an expansive view.
Although Hansel and Gretel each contain two rooms, they are offered as a single unit to one guest or group of guests. This way only friends and family members will share a bathroom.
