| In
central Tuscany, outside of Siena, on a forrested hill near
the expansive natural reserve known as the Val d'Orcia, there
are two farmhouses. Called Malabiccia and Poggi, these structures
were first documented in the topographic maps of Casato Leopoldino.
Constructed from stone, wood, and terra cotta, these historic
residences are examples of the flawless bio-architecture of
the 1700s. In the last 25 years, the homes have been brought
to new life with a long and respectful restoration. |
